"For a better quality of life."

The Green Liberal Philosophy…

The Green Liberal Party believes that for a happy and healthy society to prosper, we need to appreciate the interconnectedness of the economy, environment, politics and society as a whole. While we respect and honour the importance of retaining traditional values, we also embrace the flexibility to adopt progressive ideas and dynamic change in order to bring about a sustainable future and a better quality of life. The Green Liberals are a fresh, new choice, opening new doors and opportunities for Australia’s individuals and families.

Unlike other Green parties, the Green Liberals believe in sustainable competitive enterprise. In other words, we believe that allowing the free choice of consumers to shape the marketplace is the foundation of a healthy economy. We support the promotion of, and shift towards, environmentally sustainable local and international business. We also maintain that if ethical business activities are free to prosper, a healthier and safer work environment will result for employees, along with a gradual rise in wages and improved standard of living.

We hold strongly to the belief that individuals have the right to pursue their goals and talents without governmental interference, as long as it does not directly harm others or destroy our natural heritage. However, we do recognise the right of the government to intervene when necessary to ensure sustainable and effective economic development, to conserve the environment and its resources and to provide further education on sustainable practises to various industries.

The Green Liberals believe that fostering the family unit is essential to maintaining a balanced and healthy society. We are humanitarians and care for the welfare of the less fortunate. We will work to provide assistance to those who cannot support themselves, education and financial assistance to the unemployed, as well as abundant opportunities for those seeking to develop new skills.

The Green Liberals aim to improve the quality of life of all Australians by providing education about the impact of diet on one’s overall health and well-being, and by increasing access to, and the affordability of, preventative medicine options in the public health care system.

The Green Liberals are a new balance and are opening the doors to a better future.

Policy Outline

The Green Liberals seek to create a better quality of life for all Australians by recognising and supporting the intrinsic link between our economic practises, our environment, our politics and our social structure.
